Community Youth Sports Training Program

Posted Date: 9/05/25 (3:45 PM)

Dear Families,
The Park and Recreation District is excited to offer a Youth Sports Training Program designed to help children develop coordination, enhance their movement skills, and establish a solid foundation in athletics. This program supports skills development while encouraging healthy activity and confidence in young athletes.

Rim of the World Parks & Recreation District offers a Youth Sports Training Program. Speed, Agility, and Coordination. Where athletic skills begin and confidence grows.
The Sppe, agility, and coordination program is designed to give kids a strong athletic foundation that carries over into every sport. By focusing on movement skills, like balance, quickness, footwork, and coordination, athletes build the tools they need to excel, whether they choose soccer, football, basketball, baseball, or any other sport. The goal is to develop speed and athleticism in a fun, supportive environment so kids not only improve their skills but also build confidence and a lifelong love for being active.
Coach Evan had the youngest team in this year's Youth Flag Football League, comprising mostly first-time players, and led them to an undefeated season in the 5-8-year-old division.
Through clear, easy-to-understand coaching techniques and a strong emphasis on teamwork and patience, Evan helped his players not only grasp the fundamentals of the game but also have a great time doing it. His approach makes learning football fun, engaging, and rewarding for every child who joins the program.

Activities will challenge coordination and quickness while introducing elements of discipline and sportsmanship.
Ages 11-14 (7:00 pm to 8:00 pm) Focus: Athletic development for sports preparation. This optional third group will focus on structured training for kids preparing for middle school and high school athletics.  The emphasis will be on speed, footwork, conditioning, and coordination to give them a competitive edge.
