Dear Students, Families, and Staff,
Our classrooms are buzzing with energy! Students are collaborating, problem-solving, and sharing ideas, ensuring that no one is left out.
With thoughtful lessons designed for growth, every student is supported and set up for success.
At ROWUSD, learning isn’t just happening—it’s happening together!
Page 1: Rim’s Edge of Excellence Newsletter, October 10th, 2025. Next Board Meeting: Date of School Board Meeting: Thursday, October 16th, 2025 Time: 5:30 p.m.
Place: Rim of the World Unified School District Office, 24740 San Moritz Way, Crestline, CA 92325
Page 2: A Message from the Superintendent: Dr. Paul Sevillano: Dear ROWUSD Families, Staff, and Community Members, For decades, ROWUSD has faced financial ups and downs that have challenged the stability of our district. We are setting a clear path forward by taking important steps to strengthen the district’s future with a 90-Day Fiscal Stabilization Plan. This plan is designed to examine the root causes of our financial challenges, implement strategic solutions, and ensure long-term financial stability for our district. ROWUSD's vision is not only to strengthen our fiscal foundation but to reaffirm our commitment to excellence, equity, and transparency. True progress comes when we work together, which is why this process includes open dialogue with families, staff, and community members.
As part of the Fiscal Stabilization Plan, more than a dozen meetings are scheduled from September through December, each focused on our district’s financial situation, long-term goals, and the steps needed to make those goals a reality. These meetings are guided by our commitment to open communication, collaboration, transparency, and accountability, which are all essential elements of lasting organizational change.
From September to October, meetings will focus on the root causes of budget challenges.
In November, the focus shifts to setting goals and strategies, and by December, to aligning solutions with families, staff, and the community at the heart of the process.  The Fiscal Stabilization Plan, required by the  San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, calls for reducing deficit spending over three years, beginning in 2026-2027. Although we are taking steps to reduce deficit spending, please be assured that these measures will not impact the quality of instruction or students’ learning in the classroom. Together, with transparency, collaboration, and community involvement, we are turning challenges into opportunities to build a stronger and brighter future for our schools. Thank You. If you are unable to attend in Person, you can watch the meeting live on YouTube. https://youtube.com/@rowusdschools/streams
